Project- Integrated Urban Development in Rishikesh Town

• The project is proposed to be approved by DEA, Govt of India in 2020-21.In Phase-1 works like 24x7 Water Supply, Solid Wate Management, Storm Water Management, Urban Roads, Traffic Management, Parking, Vending Zones, ICT and open space will be taken.

• DEA, GoI, has given consent for the loan proposal, total outlay of € 200 Mn on 12th August 2022

• Development Bank of Germany (KfW) with GoU is developing the Rishikesh Urban Infrastructure Development (RIUID) Programme

• The program targets sustainable urban development in Rishikesh and its suburbs

• Phase - I  Loan signed in Dec 2022 with EUR 70 Mn.

• Phase- II Loan Signed in Dec 2023 with signing of remaining EUR 100 Mn. (Total outlay-  Euro 212 Mn Loan) 

• Selection of PMDSC is under process.

• Collaboration with KfW Consultants for ground truthing, prefeasibility and stakeholder inputs
